Planned to read that one as well some time ago but the German translation is so unbelievably poor and I just couldn't be arsed to read it in English. Would it be worth the effort?

I haven't read that one but I recently read Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma and it was GREAT! Very informative :nod:

I'm reading Nick Drake's Biography by Patrick Humphries

"Slaughterhouse 5" is the only Vonnegut book I've read, but it's definitely a good one. I wouldn't say it was a great book, but it was a very funny read. Its comedy is absurdly satirical, much in the way that Dr. Strangelove is.... So if you like that sort of thing, you'd probably enjoy the book. The colloquialisms might make the English difficult, though.
