What Are You Reading ?
Have all of Vonnegut's work.
One of my all time favorite authors.
Just passed away a couple of years ago.
Big loss.

Planned to read that one as well some time ago but the German translation is so unbelievably poor and I just couldn't be arsed to read it in English. Would it be worth the effort?

Adding this title to the list.

I've been onto this "eating" thing ever since reading Pollan's In Defense of Food.

I haven't read that one but I recently read Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma and it was GREAT! Very informative

Iota: From what I can tell yes, definitely.

"Slaughterhouse 5" is the only Vonnegut book I've read, but it's definitely a good one. I wouldn't say it was a great book, but it was a very funny read. Its comedy is absurdly satirical, much in the way that Dr. Strangelove is.... So if you like that sort of thing, you'd probably enjoy the book. The colloquialisms might make the English difficult, though.
