Massachusetts 4 album band
this is the 4th, then they hung it up
this album did not chart but the below single snuck in at #83

deja vu...
I was only mentioning to Dani this morning that i'd heard Copacabana on the radio half a dozen times in the last few days,
Mandy twice and I Write The Songs four times...
Mandy is still his best song IMO

BRYAN ADAMS "the best of me" cd, 1999.
career stats:
studio albums............13
singles......................69
this album............#7 CAN...#18 AU...#12 UK
singles:
"the best of me".......#10 CAN
Canadian soft-rocker/easy listening singer...
active from the late 1970s through to the present day...
lots of rock on this one, plus his easy listening ballads...
I personally prefer his rockier material as he went through a period in the
late 80's/early 90s where he just seemed to release ballads and songs from
movie soundtracks as singles...
I saw him back around '99 also, so I guess I picked this one up around that time also, either just prior
or just after the show...which incidently was brilliant.
all up a fairly good representation of his career up to that point and a nice mix of tracks so there is
something for everybody on it.
live clip linked below contains my three favourite tracks by Bryan and were recorded at the AFL Grand Final
pre game entertainment segment in 2015, showing that this guy can still cut it 40 odd years into his career!
the tracks on the clip are "run to you", "summer o 69" and "cant stop this thing we started"...enjoy!

TOM JONES "50 reasons to love: tom jones" cd, 2010
career stats:
studio albums.......40
singles................104
disc #1
first disc contains seventeen tracks...
no album cover artwork available so I used a picture of Tom instead...
a 3cd, 50 track compilation that pretty much covers his output from his first decade (65-74)...
apart from Engelbert and John Farnham, this guy, IMO, has the finest voice in pop music (not counting the rock singers)
tracks are not in chronological order on this one, they flit through the years previously mentioned but it doesn't matter...
very good compilation, some covers on here that i'd never heard previously, most are good but a couple don't suit his vocals.

TOM JONES "50 reasons to love: tom jones" cd, 2010
career stats:
studio albums.......40
singles................104
disc #3:
third and final disc in the three disc set of Tom's first decade of music recording....
sixteen tracks on this making for fifty tracks all up...
only real problem I have with this set is that "Delilah" is not included on it...strange indeed,
especially when that abysmal "whats new pussycat" is included(man i hate that song with a passion)
another good disc of music, theres a few hits, a few covers and a few i'd not heard previously also...
a real bad cover of Chuck's "Memphis,Tennessee" on here, its really bad for Tom...
"he also covers "pledging my love", its ok, should have been brilliant as that is his sort of song IMO,
its good but I was expecting something as good as, if not better, than my favourite version of the song
that Elvis recorded several years later...
all up though, a good set of songs overall..
a tough call for best track also, between the one I picked and the Bond Theme "thunderball"...
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

best track: the young New Mexican puppeteer
