Butthole surfers impress!

[SteveO]

I googled weird music the other day and the band Butthole Surfers came up quite often! I remember Music Head I believe, posted an album/track by this remarkable band ...featuring the band's only Top 40 hit, from their album Electric Larryland! I have listened to three of their albums so far...Electric Larryland,Hairway to Steven and Independent Worm Saloon! You never know what to expect from this Texan group, avant garde, psychedelica, country, bluegrass, noise, alternative rock, experimental, hard core punk...for the most part it's all here! So deliciously unpredictable and so fun to listen to!!!! When I listen to full albums I want to be engrossed in the music and never bored! Their name Butthole Surfers has hindered their career somewhat ...I wish the Butthole moniker didn't exist but you can't have everything!I intend to listen to all of their nine studio albums...they've been around since 1981 and were active until 2011, that's 30 years of music...they passed me by! Here's a track from their fabulous 1988 album Hairway to Steven it's a rockabilly song! (for accessability sake).

[CRAZY-HORSE]

They had a huge hit here in the late 1990s from memory,
I cant recall the title of it but I loved it..
Then we never heard from them again.

[CRAZY-HORSE]

Okay, just googled them because I got nowhere wracking my brain as to the name of their only hit here...
It was "pepper"...

Stupid title, stupid band name but the song made up for it IMO.

[Vicarious]

I hear Pepper regularly on Triple M (Australian Rock Station) i enjoy their sound, i might look up their other material.
