"sad but true".................#92 US...#15 AU...#20 UK

from Dani's cd collection!

I wanted to hear something different from my own stuff and out popped Metallica...
my knowledge of their material is virtually non-existent as I was never a fan back in the day....
heard this one several times in my car this last few days and it gets better and better IMO...
I guess that to a point "enter sandman" and "nothing else matters" could almost be their signature tunes,
and theyre both on this one.
Sandman defines the sound of this album and Matters is a superb ballad(yes, I loved that one back in the day!)
album sold upwards of twenty million in its day even though the original diehards stayed away from it in droves as
they thought the band had 'sold out' to commercialism as opposed to their first four albums....
either way....

I LOVE THIS ALBUM

LOL.....
that's why I never say never to any music,
who knows, classical, big band, opera or electronic could interest me at any given moment.

PAGANS MIND "enigmatic calling" cd, 2005

career stats:
studio albums.......5
singles.................none

this album...........no chart action!

one of those "3 for $10" discount bin" deals...
third album from this prog-metalheads rom Norway....
a concept album about the return of the original rulers of planet Earth who left homosapians here when they departed eons ago...
and how the humans beckon them to return to save the world...
lots of self indulgent wanksy guitar solos...
vocals remind me of Iron Maiden...
all the songs sound the same to me which is why after the first two it got so repetitive that my mind basically switched off...

I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

worst track: pick a track, any old track!
best track: enigmatic mission

4...entrance to infinity *
5...coming home *

8...resurrection *
9...appearance *
10.search for life *
11.new world order *

This is part of the new song of BABYMETAL "THE ONE".
It was played live in Japan.
A new album of BABYMETAL that this song has been recorded will be released in April.

they are up to 7 now so they must have made it
this one went to #1 on both shores and is their best selling
a Nickelback or Audioslave sound for me

I haven't heard that track in years, thanks.

I don't know much about Audioslave,
but, yes, Nickelback....also Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder for me.
