in no specific order I'd have to have my best of list including the clash, the rolling stones, prince, the beatles, tom waits, led zeppellin, bobby dylan, neil young, bob marley, the kinks, jimi hendrix, nick drake
i like alot of stuff theres artists i wanted to put in the list but they just missed out because of some of their records being a bit weak or treading water or even just that i havent heard all of their material. bruce springsteen, the who, joy division, the smiths, paul weller, the zombies, motorhead, ocean colour scene, new order, richard ashcroft, sam cooke
theres also contemporary stuff which i dont feel like putting in my best of lists for some reason, dont know why, but its all good. kings of leon, libertines, muse, my morning jacket, things like that

Excellent list, Jim.
There's very little there that I wouldn't agree with, and it basically includes the cream of classic rock from the last few decades.
Liking your taste, mate !!

thats right tiggi the skeleton of classic rock and roll with some soul thrown in. cant forget about all the soul, motown, reggae stuff which borders on the fringe of rock and roll and often creeps into pop too. modern pop is awful but from what i gather pop music used to be a very honourable field back in the 50s/60s
