I have a live debut album coming up on the play list, and got to thinking about how rare these are. I can only think of three:
MC5 - Kick Out The Jams
Nine Below Zero - Live at The Marquee
The Yardbirds - Five Live Yardbirds
There has to be more than this, but for the life of me I can't think of any others.
Do any more spring to mind ??

Very unique thread, Tig...good one ! Off the top of my head and after racking my brains , none come to mind.
Lana Del Ray's and Florence + Machine's debuts had a live track or two but I wouldn't say this counts !
I give any group high regard for releasing a live album as their debut....pretty risky I'd say...but admirable if they pull it off !

Good point, J.
I bought that one on your recommendation, and didn't remember to include it.
