Is it a Hurt?

Hey all! This was a poem I wrote a while ago, but it's the only one with a few rhymes in it that actually seems a little decent. They're not really lyrics, well, I haven't tried putting them to music so I'm not calling them lyrics...yet. Anywho enjoy this. I seem to write a lot better when I'm not focusing on rhymes-does that happen to anyone else?

[I][B][I][B]You watch a scene[/B][/I][/B][/I]

[I][B][I][B]And glimpse a moment[/B][/I][/B][/I]

[I][B][I][B]Accounting for your status[/B][/I][/B][/I]

[I][B][I][B]Maybe the reasons aren't clear[/B][/I][/B][/I]

[I][B][I][B][I]Yet[/I][/B][/I][/B][/I]

[B][I][B][I]But you can still feel it

[B][I][B][I]It was a look[/I][/B][/I][/B]

[B][I][B][I]That reminded you[/I][/B][/I][/B]

[B][I][B][I]Of the unforgivable[/I][/B][/I][/B]

[B][I][B][I]A shriveled heart thrown to waste[/I][/B][/I][/B]

[B][I][B][I][I]Yes[/I][/I][/B][/I][/B]

[B][B][I][I]Is it a sink?[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]Or a jolt in the void?

[B][B][I][I]Then there was a kiss[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]And the flashbacks flooded[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]And your confidence frayed

[B][B][I][I]As did your ego[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]As did your conscience[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]As I was on the other line[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]Vodka-soaked tears[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]Revitalised my fears[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]And in that instant I knew

[B][B][I][I]It wasn't your hurt[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]It wasn't your pain[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]It wasn't an act[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]Of your memory-ridden brain

[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]It was a reminder of your mistake[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]That only another fool could make[/I][/I][/B][/B]

[B][B][I][I]And when that time comes, I'll feel sorry for him[/I][/I][/B][/B]
