Hymn To A Virgil - Hozier (5/10)

Presenting as a deluxe track and ending his 'Unreal Unearth: Unending' era, this folk track is based off a 14th-century work by Dante (yes, it's as boring as it sounds). It does present a deeper side to his voice with light piano creating a mysterious tone that does make me like it noticeably more, but this doesn't latch on with the rest of the song in the way that it hooks me, and it feels like a letdown, just showcasing what Hozier can already do... It does the job, but it doesn't go above and beyond to make it addicting.

Toxic Till The End - ROSÉ (5/10)

She's following the same basic pop routes of 2024, and this is no different from the other tasteless songs she's been putting out this year. I admit this has emotion to it, but it feels like Taylor Swift from Temu or something that's been done over and over again already... There's no way this is becoming a hit single, and if this was pushed as a single from her new album, I wonder just how bad the other singles will be!

EL CLÚB - Bad Bunny (5/10)

This is a song about Bad Bunny simping over his ex with an electronic groove and quick edits in the music video; this is unique, which is something I like, but it fails to get stuck in my head and be something I love. It's alright.

Strategy - TWICE/Megan Thee Stallion (4/10)

Twice was going to sound whiny and annoying, and Megan was going to rap about something sexual. I predicted everything before the song came on. *Yawn.* NEXT!

Wild Long Lie - Sam Fender (5/10)

This continues well for people who liked the first
single 'People Watching,' but for me this isn't memorable; with its alternative rock and guitars, this still sounds like something that fails to go above, but at least it has the essence of Sam.

Alpha Omega - Skepta/Lex Luger (4.5/10)

Previewed by Kanye West back in August, 'Alpha Omega' is a hip-hop/rap song that follows the gangsta energy shown in today's rap, and I'm not really into it. The same boom-bap beat I hear everywhere is used, and some lines feel like the flow could've been better. It's overall just a waste of time and mildly disappointing; there's nothing good here.

Make It Up To You - Khalid/Ayra Starr (5/10)

Khalid is one artist who never makes anything different and rarely makes something amazing, and this is once again another boring track. Take his whole 'Sincere' album from earlier this year; it's like every single song summarised into one. Starr's style feels sucked out and duller than ever! This song isn't worth any of my time on.

Body Talk - Alok/Clementine Douglas (4/10)

'Body Talk' is a deep house track by DJ Alok that has an electro-pop, trance-like pulse. This definitely has the needed rhythm and bass, but it feels too basic and unoriginal to really be something. I would've liked much more, and I feel more of a party, disco feel would work better on this.

Gravity - Loreen (4/10)

This felt like a basic choice for Loreen and didn't really showcase her presence well.

To The Moon - Shabaka/Andre3000 (9/10)

I'm not entirely supportive of this guy, but this was incredibly peaceful and well made.

With You - Sigala/Ely Oaks (3/10)

I miss old Sigala... this frickin stinks. ?

Different Planets - Issey Cross (5/10)

Meh... this is ok but feels like it'll get old very quickly; she also kinda sounds like Tones And I from 'Dance Monkey' on this, but the vocals are toned down.

Empty Bench - David Kushner (5/10)

David seems to be making worse music with every release, and this single hits the biggest meh out of all the mehs. Kushner speaks about how people are lonely at Christmas, and the song is about deeply missing someone. It had the right depth and volume, but it really just missed something catchy that would propel the song.

Promiscuous - DJ Tunez/Wande Coal/Libianca (6/10)
Secrets - Iann Dorr (6/10)
Open Wide - Inhaler (5/10)

Kind of reminded me of 'People Watching' by Sam Fender a bit... it's alright.

Peggy - Ceechynaa (MINUS A GAZILLION/10)

This woman announced she retired, and now she's back... WITH THIS?! I HAVE TO USE ALL CAPS BECAUSE WHAT THE H*LL IS THIS!! This is so bad I need therapy, and I think I've got trauma... This might be the worst song I've EVER heard (genuinely). I don't even want to talk about the lyrics... they were creepily descriptive and sexual and cringey... It's also a song that makes fun of groups that I'm not going to go into... BUT SERIOUSLY THIS HAS NO FLOW, NOTHING. I'm lost for words... Listen to all of it, and you'll know what I mean.

Someday we'll meet on the Brooklyn Bridge (Until then, b*tch, wtf) - Sarah Meth (6/10)

The song sounds nothing like the title and artist ?

Magic Power - PeterParker69/Two Shell (4/10)

It sounds low-budget and glitchy—like if 'Spiderman' was running on £1 for the song.

Drive song - Thala (7/10)

I really like this, but it's definitely Beabadoobee completely copied. Be more creative.

Weight Of Love - Cole LC (5.5/10)

Majununa - Hugel (7/10)

Blending a traditional Indian song that's in no way dance into a dance song is incredible! Plus this was a great jam! Love this!

Sister - Aimee Carty (5/10)

Aimee's music is the same every time.. atleast it has meaning.

U Should Not Be Doing That - Chris Lorenzo/Amyl and the Sniffers (5/
