Deezer listen:
fourth album...
i really thought i would struggle and be disappointed with these guys new album after their last album "III" which i consider to be their best album by far, and thought they couldnt match it or come close to it...
but i need not have worried about it...
a very classy album indeed with every track sounding very good upon one listen, come the second listen and it just gets better IMO...
lots and lots of lovely melodies, harmonies and sugary sweet sounds...
hearing hints of Brandon Flowers' vocal style in some tracks, Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) in others and hints of Josh Tillman (Father John Misty) throughout...
at nine tracks long and clocking in at just over 30 minutes (30:02) the album leaves me wanting more, i guess thats a good thing though because theres nothing worse than an album that overstays its welcome by two, three or even four tracks, a tactical ploy maybe, on their part ???
another very good album from the band who just get better with each release.
so many good tunes to pick from so heres the title track:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
