Spotify listen:
album opens up with three Glam Rock sounding tracks even sampling Joan Jett
with the "yeah-oh yeah" chorus from her Do You Wanna Touch cover of a Glam classic.
next couple of tracks have a bit of a 'soul/r+b' feel
track number six appears to go all Little Richard on me
final four tracks get back into a familiar Green Day sound.
at around 25 minutes its their shortest album
not as heavy politically as we've grown to expect from these guys
not as punky as we've come to expect neither
not their best album by a long shot, far from it
all up though, a pleasant uptempo, upbeat fun album in which theyve left their
hair down and appear to pay respect/homage to possibly some of the artists who influenced
them over the years.
a reasonable album from a band now celebrating 30 years in the recording industry (who'd have thought!_)
the previous single:
"father of all mother..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXv00PJ9IQM video
my favourite track s actually "Graffitia" but I cannot find it on YT
the linked track is the new single:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
