Chainsmokers ft: Coldplay "something just like this"

not a fan of Chainsmokers...
nor have I been a fan of Coldplay over their last four albums...
sounds more like Coldplay than CS...
I like it.

This song sounds like exactly what it is; a hybrid of Coldplay and somebody else.

The early part of the song sounds like it could have come from Coldplay's X&Y period, and as such is not bad. Then about halfway through it switches into sounding like every other current pop hit.

I wonder what the inspiration was for this collaboration? It's not as if either of these groups needs the other in order to sell records.
