Welcome aboard the Great MD, Nicole! You mentioned two great Canadian artists...I didn't care for Joni's Blue album until I read an article about it....it's,in some ways, a bio of her life, singing about her relationships! I love the album now...! Mingus was a great album also as well as the experimental album Don Juan's Reckless Daughter that was shunned by the critics...guess that's why I loved it!...lol

I assume youre refering to Neil Young's double cd/triple vinyl compilation "decade"???
its one of the best compilation albums ever released IMO as it encompasses his first 'decade' in music (1967-77)...
"like a hurricane" is his supreme masterpiece IMO

Thanks!!! I love Mingus...it's the album that led me to discover jazz. It reminds me of the old days, when I used to get singing lessons!

Can't argue with that. I am partial to Southern Man but I agree, that was Neil at his best. He was on tv last night donating 100,000 to David Suzuki's cause. Daryl Hannah was there too ....
