Whop Frazier. He played Blues and R&B in the Washington, D.C. area for 55 + years (going on the road at 17) in all R&B/Blues/Gospel styles. He always "brought it" in fine style and usually had bigger names sitting in. An institution. An obit/appreciation (he died in 2011):
