What Do You Like To Cook Or What Do You Like To Eat?
#11
Just made some pilchard fishcakes as I had a large tin of pilchards left in cupboard and the last tin the fish wasn't all that nice - tasted a bit old. Mixed with mashed potato, eggs and herbs and made into rounds, then baked for 30mins. Really nicer than I expected. Hate throwing food stuff away!

keifer and granola with some dried blueberries. simple, no cooking involved, and hella good for you. keifer is somewhere between milk and yogurt but just way better for you. it has lots of healthy bacteria, which we all need cause we take too much antibiotics into our bodies which indiscriminately kills off bacteria in your body, both good and bad. you desperately need the good bacteria to keep you well, and basically all your basic living functions depend on these bacteria. and don't kid yourself in thinking that you are antibacteria free, even if you've never taken any. they dip your chicken in it! (sorry), and pretty much all your meat is pumped up with it to keep it 'healthy' which is hard to do in the conditions that they make the animals live. and vegetarians are not really exempt either because they have antibacteria layers on your phones and cutting boards and pretty much all surfaces. so get back your healthy bacteria.

and granola is fiber, and fiber is wickid important. the more fiber you eat, the more you can eat in general. it helps clean you out.

and blueberries are an antioxidant. try to pick the dried blueberries with no sugar added.

i could go on about this for a while.

also, eat oatmeal. super good for you. like a sponge dragging out your insides, which are coated with putrefying toxins. yummy! sorry, again.

eat better, feel better, live better.

Love blueberries and have 3 bushes in my garden -( must get downstairs and water them)
Also have a few strawberry plants that are managing to survive despite my not being able to do regular gardening due to my bad back.( going off at a tangent there!)
But, -- strawberries and icecream is delish.

I view food principally as fuel (blood sugar and all that) but I do like a good East Carolina, vinegar-based sauce, BBQ (you feel me. RebelGirl?) O/W, Popeye's spicy does me right (half now, half cut up tomorrow in a reasonable marinara sauce w/ angel-hair pasta). For breakfast, there is no better than Uncle Sam's Original cereal--good for mind/body/spirit/soul--especially with a dab of jelly mixed in. Yum!

Jordan C Wrote:I like cooking quite a lot of alternative meats such as Ostrich, Bison, Wild Boar etc.

I make a lovely Ostrich and Kiwi dish which is a bit like sweet and sour

Best meal I ever had in my life was in a restaurant in Carcassonne, France in a tiny restaurant called L'Arcadia. 14 people max. Main course was kangaroo steak. I will never have a dining experience like that ever again. Sadly the restaurant is no more as the three chefs were whisked off away to Paris at the whim of some well-heeled bloke.

By the way, if you are ever in San Sebastian - there are more Michelin restaurants there than in any other place in the world. I am not a great fan of the bullshit that goes with some of these outfits, but you cannot deny the food is superb.

My favorite vegetable is cauliflower. I love paste too. With leek, salmon and creme spread.
