Once again, I used cloudy phrasing. I meant progress money-wise and be tighter and less-diffuse. They did follow a few popular trends (artsy-fartsy sh!t, C&W) but always returned to being Blues/R&B-based under the tight grip of the Glimmer Twins. We'll never know but it's amusing to speculate.
