you guys have heard me mention Corey for some time now..
well Corey is currently vocalist in a Foo Fighters cover band called "white limo australia"...
this is a pic of Corey with Dave Grohl in Brisbane Australia early last year...

just copied it from his facebook page....guess thats the way i'll have to do the Horse-head tour that way...will attempt it tomorrow!

look, im not a fan of cover bands by any means but Dani and I are off to see Corey's band play a gig on the 20th January, ive been promising him for almost a year i would do so, and seeing as this could be his last gig,or close to it before he goes back to being in an "original" band i thought i best at least support him with all the discounts he gives me at his shop!

actually, the meeting came about for Corey and Grohl because we had some pretty bad floods here exactly one year ago over in Queensland,where Brisane is the capitol..the Fooies had just gone home to the states after an Aussie festival tour,heard about the floods and the billions it had cost so they flew back here a couple of weeks later and performed several acoustic gigs in and around Brisbane to help raise money for famillies who had lost their homes etc..., Corey heard about these "secret" gigs and flew to Queensland after getting a ticket for a gig via the Fooies record label and with the help of the label managed a meeting after the gig,but only because he was a vocalist in a tribute band....
apparently Grohl was taken aback a little bit that there was a Fooies tribute band out there,especially when they are still at the top of their game, Corey said he and Grohl actually did a duet backstage of acoustically of their "monkey wrench" single from a decade ago,got Grohl's leather jacket given to him fully signed by the band...i believe it is mounted behind glass in his house right now!.....lucky SOB!...and i met my idol in Paul Weller and he was a complete assh#le in 2010!!!!!!
