new releases in the UK for week commencing 12th October:
One of this week's big album releases comes from US singer-songwriter P!nk, who puts out her seventh studio album, called Beautiful Trauma. The record features the Top 5 hit What About Us, while all five of her previous six releases have peaked inside the Top 3 on the Official Albums Chart (2008's Funhouse is her only Number 1). She faces strong competition from former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant, who releases his 11th solo album Carry Fire. The star has never scored a solo Number 1 album in the UK, but has come close on several occasions, most recently with 2014's Number 2-peaking Lullaby And... The Ceaseless Roar.
