i haven't read your thought on the album, I don't want to be persuaded one way or the other until I listen to it tomorrow.
I was going to listen to it today but I chose the Big Smoke one because id never heard of them.

only own three Bright Eyes albums from memory, love 'em...
great story teller/image maker with his lyrics...
simple piano or acoustic guitar based tunes on here...
harmonica was nice but unnecessary IMO (and MH's also)...
a pretty good album on a first up listen...
its on the to purchase list mow.

the main problem I have with Conor is that on occasion his voice is quite annoying, but the majority of the time I can listen to a full album, no problem...
the album is good but I prefer the Bright Eyes albums I own
