ok, ok.....
so shes been around for a few years now as her Wiki says, but ive only just discovered her for myself....

at thirty years of age she has that smoky, sultry vocals that seasoned jazz performers have....awesome stuff in deed

heres her Wiki for anyone interested

Over and above the sheer beauty of her writing and singing is the extreme adversity she's had to overcome to get there. Read that bio again and be amazed.
I forget now how I was introduced to her but this album made me a fan forever: http://www.allmusic.com/album/my-one-and...0000811208 The Usual Suspect has her stuff for a reasonable price.

Thanks Jazz,
I'm thinking about getting a couple of her albums today as they're reasonable priced here also
Is there two you would recommend to me as a starting point/intro??

With only 4 major releases out, you can't go wrong with any of them. She showed great progress between CD 1 and CD 2. She's only 30 so a brilliant future lies ahead. http://www.allmusic.com/artist/melody-ga...iscography << That live album is strictly a collector's item--its equal for a live perf is on YouTube.
