^^^ I want Alison Krauss to get the award that she got her nomination for.
God bless you and her always!!! Holly P.S. Getting it would put her at 28 Grammy awards all together. The most that anyone has is 31 and the person who has them is a man named Georg Solti who was an orchestral and operatic conductor. He passed away in 1997.
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

if i did it that way SteveO...
i would not have many picks at all as the Grammy's are supposed to be awards for excellence, and also prestigious, but i dont think many of those artists nominated actually deserve a Grammy for excellence and certainly dont deserve to have their names sitting alongside some of the great artists out there. unfortunately, i think the Grammy's and most other award shows are simply hyped-up industry crap that is only interested in what is popular at the time and not longevity. also, have you noticed when the older artists actually get old they start winning Grammy's and getting nominations??? take Dylan and Neil Young for example...couldnt get awards for anything back in the day, but nowadays they get nominated(and occasionally win) them... i think the Grammy people sit down and say "oh so-and-so is getting on a bit, lets give them a Grammy before they die so it doesnt look bad when they get one after they die"... thats why im sure Glen Campbell will win for his nomination this year...to give him one last award before he dies(or at least, cant remember who he is anymore)...! to be perfectly honest though, his song he is nominated for is a real heart-wrenching,almost tear-jerker, so it deserves it anyway IMO, sums up the whole dementia thing perfectly, like Clapton's "tears in heaven" summed up the loss of his son perfectly.

So true Music man!...LMFO! The Grammys and all other music award shows are for the most part geared toward sales and popularity with the majority of music listeners who are usually casual music listeners!
