So here is a little something to ponder.
Even though I don't mind David Cook, and between the last 2 David's on the list this past season, he was the more obvious choice for a winner, I have not really followed American Idol (or any of those shows) closely in years. This might sound terrible, but they actually bore me. :tongue:
Anyway, my question is:
do you think the winners of these pop/manufactured shows are already "behind the 8 ball" so to speak when it comes to credability just because they got their start on a talent show? Sure, a handful of winners (and other contestants) have gone on to fame and fortune and seen as credible artists, but do you think they are forced to fight through that whole "Idol" background, before they finally are seen as "true" talents?
