Hey,
I asked this question in the pop forum but then i thought this might be a better place. So apologies if youve seen my post in the pop forum.
I was wondering. Is there a place where i can find or purchase sheet music for modern pop songs or any modern songs (rock, jazz, whatever), but in the original instrumentation. Meaning if the song was written for bass, guitar, voice and piano, id like sheet music that is faithful to the original parts. Unfortunately, the only thing i can find is an arrangement for a full concert band or something of the sort.

in my experience i find that music shops, those that sell instruments, are the ones who generally sell sheet music

I’ve found contemporary sheet music online with relative ease. Some pretty obscure stuff too. It won’t be precisely notated like classical music though - or rarely. Mostly the melody or lead line and accompanying chords – sometimes different tablature for different instruments – you’ll just have to search. There are innumerable possible interpretations when it comes to chord progressions, if that's what you mean - and many pop/rock musicians don't read music, so unless there's some sort of clever app that can notate an original piece as heard (which there might be for all I know), I think you may be in search of the lost chord!

And where do you usually find them? is there a particular website which you'd say is reputable?

Thanks bro but Ive done that so many many times and everything I find is either some babyish piano version intended for beginners or some full-fledged marching band score with 3 flutes, 4 saxophones and a lot extra additions. I was only asking if someone knew a place that had arrangements faithful to the originals. I've already googled it, hence why I came to this forum to ask if someone knew a place. If you have a favourite website feel free to tell it to me.
