Monsters Of Folk Expand Tour
#1
With an already-acclaimed tour currently sweeping across the country, indie rockers Monsters of Folk – Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis, M. Ward and My Morning Jacket's Jim James – have added three more dates to their first tour together in five years. The illustrious quartet has hit the road in support of their first collaborative recorded effort, Monsters of Folk, which was released to rapturous response last month on Shangri-La Music.
The album, already heralded as one of the year's best debut albums, absolutely comes alive onstage, which many music fans experienced when the tour began last week in Vancouver.
Says Spin.com, "Monsters of Folk gave the crowd at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom their money's worth with an epic two-and-a-half-hour set on the opening night of their U.S. tour." The live show will not only showcase the incredible songs found on Monsters of Folk, but will also feature favorites from the band members' individual catalogues.
