Musicians' behavior
#1
I'm obviously using the term "musician" loosely for illustrative purposes here, but...

The Kayne West incident brings up an interesting topic: Does a musician's behavior, politics, religion, lyrics, etc. influence whether you'll buy or listen to their music?

Behavior, yes. The other things you mentioned, not so much.
Even the behavior, it would have to be repeated incidents. One little news story wouldn't affect me. But if their constantly getting negative publicity, there's a reason. Good example for me is Amy Winehouse. Loved her music when she first came out. Now all the negative stuff has just turned me off. Kanye is getting there. As far as politics, if I only bought artists who agreed with my politics, I would never be buying any music.
