I have recently bought a zoom R16 multitrack recorder . it has 16 tracks multi effects and can record 8 tracks simultaneously , also you can bounce down more tracks , so you could theoretically layer hundreds of instrumrents on there , it will work with DAW software on your computer for more detailed editing and also has stereo mics built in for a live stereo recording . it outputs files as wav format so it is easy to edt on a computer se up alsoyou can mix down to a stereo master on the machine and output as one track . I have recorded my band live a few times and also have used the zoom to make multi track demos . at a reasonable price £ 225.00 it is a very versatile little studio in a box .[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

These porta-studios are a lot more powerful than people realise. I have a couple of different types. I have found some amazing guitar effects on these devices as well. Money well spent.
