Volunteers (musicians) needed for research

Hi, I am currently involved in conducting some research based on personality types of musicians and am looking for some volunteers to take part in an online personality survey. It consists of 72 questions and will take approx 10 minutes to complete.


The results of the survey will be used to form my research into whether certain personality types can be attributes to your choice of musical instrument.

If you would like to help me with this, I must state that the only information I require from you when you have completed the test is your age, what your main instrument is that you play from vocals to harmonica. I also need to know the 4 letters attributed to your personality as well as the percentages.

Just for the hell of it I actually responded to this - and as it turns out, the personality I am most affiliated with happens to be Nelson Mandela. Go figure.......(but I'm not complaining). As far as what instrument I should be playing - it turned out to be the electric triangle. Tomorrow I am going to buy a really, really large amplifier. Tubular Triangles - here we come......

Hi Steve, sorry if there's some confusion regards to my post. The test, as far as Im aware, will not tell you what instrument you should be playing.

The results will give you four letters and a percentage, that is the information I require. Additionally I would like to know what instrument you currently play, or your main instrument if you play more than one.

So for example your result may be INFJ personality type, with the percentages I = 36%, N = 56%, F = 45%, J = 47%. You might currently be a singer/songwriter or a guitarist, or even play harmonica..that is the additional information.

From the results I will look at the different personality types of all those who take part, in addition to that I will try to establish if there is link between the type of personality and the instrument that each person plays.
