Hey Guys,
I posted a very poorly mixed version of this song earlier on. We finished remixing it, and wanted to share with everyone. It's called "Believable Fiction."
Enjoy!

As a side note, could an administrator remove the thread called "mixing feedback--Jerome where are you?" ? That had a link to the old, crappy version. Thank you!

If I may make one suggestion - the drum kit should be panned through the stereo spectrum. Hi hat 9 o'clock floor tom 3 o'clock etc. Ride should be on the right and crashes to either side. When you listen to this on headphones the drums sound very monophonic, but I have to say I like the drummer's playing. Good track. Vocals up a touch on the EQ and a bit more upfront/louder. Experiment with 'early reflections' on whatever reverb you are using.

Thanks Jerome, for the feedback. I've always toyed with "early reflections" but never liked the effect. Is there a mistake that people commonly make when using it? If so, I am probably doing that, LOL.

Oh, and by "early reflections" I am assuming you mean pre-delay, right? If you mean something else, then maybe I haven't toyed with it as much as I think. Thanks again.

To be quite honest, the term pre-delay never quite made sense to me. Early reflections are the intial reverberation wave you hear before all the other waves come in. The first wave to reverberate off a surface or wall. Guess they probably mean the same thing. Not 100% sure. Maybe I should look this up!

I could be wrong, but I think the pre-delay refers to a computer-generated effect that kinda creates a subtle backwards reflection just ahead of the sound. Maybe I am making that up. But thank you for clarifying the early reflections. I'll look more into it!
