Music Head goave us his "favourite" Whitney track....here's mine,a sublime cover of the Dolly Parton track that was originally offered to Elvis Presley,however Tom Parker wanted her to sign over 50% of her writting royalties to him for Elvis to record it...of which she declined,thus he never recorded it...

simply love Whitney's vocal range on this one and her control over those high notes is perfrction IMO

I've never really been that big a fan of Whitney, but RIP The Voice is the perfect sentiment. I may not have been a huge fan, but no one can deny that she had an unbelievable voice.

I saw her live & in her prime at a concert on November 17, 1987. It was an amazing & an unforgettable experience. She's the only singer I have seen live who's voice literally gave me chills.
