Yo fellas. Finally I've found a pretty decent music discussion board. I'm from Germany, so please forbear with me if my English isn't always perfect.

My taste in music is pretty widespread (Jazz, Metal, Noise, Classical, Hardcore, Breakcore etc.), so I hope I can contribute to several sections here.

I like Opeth, Slayer, Bloodbath, Agalloch, Edge of Sanity, Entombed, Ásmegin, Death, Mithotyn, Necrophobic, Ahab ...

And yeah, I mean like Merzbow noise but also some more slack bands like Boredoms, OOIOO or Christine 23 Onna (which are more noise rock than actual noise).

Yeah... I have a few albums by Boredoms... Or did. I never got a chance to listen them. I do know of Eye's work with Naked City, though, which is awesome. Which album by Boredoms should I start with, you think?

As for those bands, hmm... I've only heard of Death, Slayer, and Opeth. Metal isn't really my cup of tea, but I was curious as to what kind of metal a jazz fan would like. I do like the band Meshuggah, though... Mainly for their guitar solos.

EDIT: I also have Pulse Demon and Merzbeat... I really liked them at one point, though they're probably too intense for me to listen to now... Ear problems.

The newer the album is the more accessible they are. I started with Super Ae and then checked out Vision Creation Newsun. But you could also start with OOIOO, which is a side project. I heard from a lot of people that it was easier for them to start with them. I dunno because I listened to Boredoms first.

I think I did listen to most of Pop Tatari, but I didn't really absorb it fully the first time. I've heard a few songs by OOIOO. I'll look into them both further, thanks.

Metal's not really my thang, but it does seem pretty popular amongst the members here so I'm sure you'll find plenty of discussees.
