How do you organize your music or do you listen to it at random ?

I have a "To Listen To" list at hand and refer to it when I can. Sometimes an album will instantly tweak my interest so the "list" is delayed. Also when I get caught up in a certain genre I focus on listening to albums that way. Currently I am intereted in folk music so I am getting all sorts of recommendations to listen to.

I have enough music that I have not heard yet to last me a lifetime !

I try to listen to something by the Beatles everyday !

I very seldom do random listening whereby I would grab anyhting and just listen to it. My music listening is somewhat organised . I just can't stay with the old reliables as there is so much exciting new music to explore out there !

Perhaps I should just can the list and listen to whatever tickles my fancy at the time ???? May not be a bad idea in hindsight...see what happens ! I will confess truthfully, my "New Music To Listen To" list is not getting shorter ...it's getting longer every day !!!!

I use shuffle or Pandora a lot and see what comes up. When something I'm in the mood for hits me I follow it.

We (Mrs Tig & I) also have a Listen List. Either of us will put albums on it that occur to us, and then we take it in turns to pick from the list.
