People have some strong views about Amy's lifestyle choices, but this can only be a sad day.
27 years old...

Haven't listened to her superb album Back to Black for a good while, so that'll be spinning tonight in celebration of the best of Amy.

Sounds like a plan. I can't believe how young she was. So sad.

as sad as it is, its not really such a surprise with her lifestyle is it?
as for Norway...such a tragic waste of human life, i'll be sure to say a silent prayer for the famillies of rhe victims whilst in church tomorrow

I agree with CH it is sad when someone dies .........but with her it was always going to happen..............It is also one of those cases where the lifestyle of the person far outweighs the talent....................Being honest, I also feel that many parents must feel that the story that they tell their teenage daughters who follow the Amy lifestyle, has not got a happy ending, and maybe one or two of those daughters might think again!.........................
However, in Europe we are looking to the events in Norway and concentrating our sympathies on the innocent victims there............They did not have the chances Amy had, to avoid the situation............................IF Amy had wanted too,, she could have made the story so different ...............
So,I look to the future, and how she will be remembered.....................This is a great rock and roll product ...............short tragic life............early death ...............fighting..............drinking..........drugs................rejection...............failure at the end on stage ....................I guess she will be glorified!
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

we're both of the same thought pattern Gryphon........possible except for one of your little comments...
Amy may well have wanted to get help, but maybe she didnt have the willpower to overcome her Demons, afterall she can get all the advice around her but she alone has to admit she had a problem in order to move foreward and seek proffessional help, then go through with it

Just a very very sad day indeed - a unique talent gone too soon. Was looking at her pics on the web. When those tattoos started appearing you could see she was on the slippery slope.
And as the pessure from the global financial meltdown gets worse, more and more people are cracking under the strain. Norway is just the start of this trend.......

I really liked her songs and style of music. Why do all the talented ones have to go so early?
I mean yes she was in to drugs. But the news said she didn't died because of the drugs...
Anyway did anyone saw the tribute to her at the VMA's last week? I just read an article about that here:

And I can't imagine Bruno Mars singing her song. Unfortunately I couldn't watch it...
Maybe you have a link of a video of it for me?!
