5th Essential Metal Band?

Metallica
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Black Sabbath

but if it was the 5 essential metal bands instead of 4, who would be the 5th essential?

I would say Dio but what do you think.

Motorhead is no. 5 according to the Metal Storm website ! Their list is- 1 - Black Sabbath 2 - Iron Maiden
3- Metallica 4 - Judas Priest and 5 - Motorhead in their opinion ! However you have named the top 4 already !

Other ratings by MS - 6 - Slayer 7 - Megadeth 8 -Pantera and 10 - Death. Can't recall #9 off the top of my head.

Opeth is 31 (my favorite). Obviously they'd rank much higher imo. But in the end we all like what we like and don't really pay that much attention to polls..do we !
