I got an Akai EWI 4000S a few days ago and am having a ball learning it.

I'm still not used to using thumb rollers to go up an octave, so it's not very stable yet.

I've just done a check, and found that that's the exact same model that Leonard Cohen's windman Dino Soldo uses:

I suppose I'm lazy. I have the time plus a few guitars, a keyboard and a trumpet in the garage. Thanks for the kick in the ass. Perhaps I will play the 3 songs I can play on guitar today

Great stuff Penny - I went to Paul Simon's 'Graceland' concert many moons ago in Cape Town. His saxophonist, Michael Brecker, did a solo spot with the EWI - the whole stadium was reverberating. It was awesome. Will never forget it.
