On February 22, Columbia/Legacy will release the Johnny Cash archival collection From Memphis to Hollywood: Bootleg Vol. 2, a double-disc set of demos and rarities from the country music deity. It's a sequel of sorts to 2006's Personal File, though its material predates that of Personal File.

The first disc features music recorded between 1954 and 1957, starting with a 15-minute Memphis radio broadcast that Cash hosted in 1955. It also collects 11 previously unreleased demos recorded before Cash signed to Sun Records.
Disc one is rounded out by outtakes that Cash recorded at Sun Records with Sam Phillips and Jack Clement producing.
The second disc, featuring recordings from 1958-1969, includes a number of non-album singles, B-sides, and outtakes that Cash recorded for Columbia Records, many of them previously unreleased. Below, we've got the tracklist and video of a young Cash playing "I Walk the Line" on "The Tex Ritter Show".

im a born sucker for Elvis,Paul Weller,Neil Young, McCartney and Cash so i guess i'll be slipping out the plastic next week.
"personal file" was a very good set of home recordings...hope this one is just as good

just glad all the "American Recording" things are out the way...or are they?
