i dont know anyone around my age [highschool] irl with my taste but i really wanna get involved in my city's scene and start a band. here are the things that ive been doing/planning on doing:
- putting up flyers around places musicians my age would possibly find it [record stores, general music stores, music schools, etc]. the flyers have the following:
- the fact that im looking for people my age
- the inspirations for the band
- qr code to scan to learn more
- going to a con for nerds who are around my age this saturday and im gonna try to find people like me there ^_^
- currently looking for local shows and festivals to go to where i would find people my age and artists with an at least vaguely similar genre would be playing
does anyone have any more ideas to reach more people? people have said to put flyers up at my school but the school i go to is small and i feel like i would get in trouble if i put one up HGADLFKVJN thank you in advance !!!!!!!! ^_^

Facebook has sites for different types of music as well as geographical "What's happening in..." and "Music in..." sites I have seen posts from bands and people looking for bandmates in all of these
