This song took 20 years to hit the Hot 100! That's insane! The craziest part is that it still sounds new-ish. And this is one song where anyone can find a message out of it; it's about encouraging someone to find positivity in their life and leave their old ways, which everyone has changed, so it's a universally relatable song. Even after a few listens, though, I still don't think this separates itself from the trending music category that well; instead, it places neatly as a trendy song. It featured on Imogen Heap's 2005 album 'Speak for Yourself' as the UK electro-pop song that it is before going socially trendy.
99 - Forever Young - David Guetta/Alphaville/Ava Max (3/10)
David just makes remixes now because he's too lazy to continue his actual career; all he does is take an old song, slap his sound on it (a lot of the time not even put the original artist in the artist section), and think it's gold. This is far from gold; it's poop. Everything this guy comes out with is joke after joke; you're the biggest French artist; show some effort!! I'm shocked he gets as much traction as he does. Who lied to this man and said he was good?

97 - The Days - Chrystal (1/10)
Heading back to October 2024, Chrystal released a worthless electronic song to the music community (the equivalent of a fat turd). It was going to be forgotten about soon and on its way to never be heard of again until some random dude called NOTION remixed it, and it went super viral. I am NEVER forgiving you, Notion. Even the vocals on 'Dance Monkey' were more forgivable than this; Chrystal ends up sounding like if Alvin and the Chipmunks were female and on some drugs. It's not high energy or uplifting to the soul in any way; I'm shocked to think that somebody can really put this on from the fact that they like it.
91 - Bigger Houses - Dan + Shay (5.5/10)
Ok… this actually got better as the song went on. It's fitting for American country radio with verses that people feel and the simple guitar and vocal performance. The last time I heard of Dan + Shay was back in 2023 with their 'That's not how this works' collaboration with Charlie Puth. Since then they've released a country album which this single came from and ended up charting a year later, it's worth a listen if your into the catchy mainstream country music.
59 - Are You Even Real - Teddy Swims/GIVEON (5/10)
This sounds way too boring to be pushed as a single on I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2). It's really a letdown after waiting for the full album. Now, I don't know Giveon, but he sounds like Victor Ray, and his vocals are alright, as are Teddy's. The problem is that this song only showcases good singing but lacks artistry. The hook isn't effective, and as someone who's heard a lot of Swims, this is a massive drop from his usual work. Teddy, are you even real?? How can you release this! It sounds like a mid-level filler song with quieter, ASMR-type vocals. Here's an idea—maybe you can become one of those ASMR creators on TikTok Live.
