useless musical trivia facts
#1
i thought i would try to start one of those long running threads.

this one is as the title suggests, to post bits of useless musical trivia that others may find interesting (or not) as the case may be LOL

anyway i will start off:

George Harrison used the pseudonym L'Angelo Misterioso to avoid contractual issues with The Beatles in order to co-write "badge" with Eric Clapton in 1969 and play rhythm guitar on the track.
he also used the same pseudonym when he played guitar and bass on Jack Bruce's debut solo album "songs for a tailor" in 1969.

i guess George paid back Clapton after EC played lead guitar on Beatles "while my guitar gently weeps" but remained uncredited.

and another piece of useless crap...

when George Harrison threatened to quit the Beatles in 1969 John Lennon voiced his opinion that Eric Clapton would be asked to become a permanent member of the group, George Harrison obviously never actually quit so we will never know if EC would have joined as he was ultimately never asked.

Beatles album "abbey road" was originally meant to be called "everest" with the band supposedly keen to travel to Everest and have their photo taken with the highest peak as a backdrop.
also, the final concert dubbed "the savile row rooftop concert" was initially envisioned by Paul McCartney to take place at a 2000 year old amphitheatre somewhere around Italy or Greece to a paying audience followed by a world tour once the album was released.
