A.J. CROCE ~ By Request
These are songs he’d play at home, for friends, old favourites that have relevance or significance in his own life. He is a phenomenal pianist, even if all the music is not to ones taste, and he's steeped in the history of contemporary music - you can tell - he's absorbed it all, from an early age. I guess that's the legacy he was left - definitely something in the genes. Can't find an image of the cover - it's shown in the video links.
I like about 5 of the twelve songs on the album –
“Ooh Child” posted previously
His rendition of Neil Young’s “Only Love Can Break Your Heart” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKy_PcSEyR0,
Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry’s “Better Day” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttuIw218k1I
“Sail on Sailor” by the Beach Boys (not a fan but this song is an exception) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTU3eUkQOnw
And this – Tom Waits’ “San Diego Serenade” …
