entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart last week at #9
courtesy of Spotify
from Seattle
3rd album
first in 6 years
doesn't seem that long since Helplessness Blues
which I purchased I believe
not sure I could do it again
the sound gets tedious for an entire album
single

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been trying to absorb this album, without success.
Far too woozy for my taste. Can’t understand what all the fuss is about – doesn’t come anywhere near “Mykonos” etc.
Not at all what it’s Crack’d Up to be IMHO!
Shame about that as I was anticipating something really good.
^^But wait!
Maybe they have donaldmayo hyping them!!!

got both of their previous efforts....
thought their self titled debut was very good at the time because it was a breath of fresh air in a pretty stagnant industry,
Mykonos ("sun giant" ep) was a bonus disc with the album...
bought Helplessness Blues but that was bland and too repetitive...
have no intention of getting nor hearing this one after hearing a couple of the singles off it for the same reason...
much prefer Father John Misty as a soloist as his music has more variation than that of the band.
