I don't think anything new really stands out except EDM these days but I'll probably turn to Nepalese folk songs soon...who knows...the weirdo has spoken!

I actually have some Mongolian throat singing in my music collection.

Considering my avatar, this should surprise no one.

It's very cathartic at times. Calms and slows the mind and spirit.

I had a neighbour who went to Mongolia back in late 2010 or early 2011,
he bought back several cds of Mongolian Throat Singing and a DVD also,'
I had never heard o it previously so I borrowed the DVD and a cd,
some parts of both were interesting and he did say that you have to be there to
take it all in and 'feel one with nature' to really appreciate the experience,
I believe he is probably correct,
like it or loathe it, there is a self discipline required to use the throat to sing like they do.
