ok, so Roger just performed at the Newport Folk Festival....
he teamed up with Kentuckian band My Morning Jacket to cover "the night they drove old Dixie down"
I think Jim James from MMJ performed his part of the song pretty good....
but Roger.....dear oh dear!
sorry, but he sounded out of tune and off key to me...

what do you all think?

I don't even want to listen to it - There is only one band that can do that song - THE Band! And the only version of it I like is the one from 'The Last Waltz'.

really?
he shows flashes of brilliance at times on his solo material, but I find it mostly underwhelming
