some early Elvis pictures

A young photographer on assignment took some photos of Elvis Presley just after "Hound Dog" was released but before he exploded on the scene. The words "charming" and "insightful" come to mind. Only 10 are included here but the photog, Alfred Wertheimer (who just died) has a trove on his site and there was a travelling exhibition in the '90's: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/25/arts/m...0003192986

Thank you, those were fun to see! Mr. Wertheimer was an outstanding photographer! He captured young Elvis as a fellow who could be out in public, before being a star!
