Introduction and Shameless Self-Promotion

Hello all, my name is Josh, I am currently a high school senior, and music is my life. My love for music started when I was young and my dad first introduced me to The Who, and from there my interests have grown exponentially. Classic Rock will always hold a special place for me (near to my ear) because that is what started my passion, but now I listen to everything from Indie Rock to Alternative to Electro-Swing and even some Rap.

Anyway, being a senior I had to write an essay for my college applications, and I naturally chose to make it about music and how it has made me the person I am today. So I entered it in this scholarship contest online, and even if you're not interested in helping me out, I would love for you guys to read it and maybe even share how music has affected your lives, or just feel free to ask me about my interests and opinions in music.

Thank you, thank you. And I guess it changes over time, but in terms of classic rock I listen to a lot of Led Zeppelin. I love all of their stuff, really. Lately I've also been listening to Arctic Monkey's new album AM and a lot of Franz Ferdinand too.
