ok...
just heard this one on the radio today...
its the new one from Coldplay, from their forthcoming album "ghost stories"
that will be released in the first week of may...
im glad theyve finally got a new sound but it doesnt do it for me.
the beat(drum/percussion) or whatever it is sounds hollow and
monotonous like some stupid drum machine from the early 1980s.
theres not really much happening in the way of a melody for me..
these guys lost me with their last couple of albums getting
progressively worse.
i dont think i'll rush out and get the new album on the strength of
this first track neither!

They released one heck of a very boring live album awhile ago!!! My Place is the only song I like! Chris Martin in an interview , said he wanted their music to be
put in a time capsule , even exceeding the popularity of The Beatles...lol...you have failed Mr. Martin!

i did read something about them a couple of years ago that Chris Martin was going to disband the group after the "viva la vida" album as he thought "we'd done everything we could in the format we have".
personally, i think he was correct and should have done it...
just cant figure what made him and the band change their minds as i wouldnt have thought 'the mighty $" would have been the driving force at that stage of the game?
