Robin,Barry and Maurice Gibb deserve to be inducted into
the MD "hall of fame" IMO for the following reasons:

1. for almost fifty years these guys had hit after hit the world over

2. their melodies and harmonies are pure perfection

3. theyve succeeded and scored huge hits in folk, country, pop, disco

4. theyve sold over 300million albums wolrdwide

5. they have written numerous hits for other artists including
Dionne Warwick "heartbreaker"
Parton/Rogers "islands in the stream"
amongst others.

the brothers Gibb are/were without peer as live performers also
being able to sing/harmonise in their distinct falsetto as perfect
as the day they recorded the songs sometimes decades before!

The only band in the world to rise to the top on three separate occasions in three different decades. Outstanding performers.

I'll vote for them one minute after Freddy Fender gets voted in and not an instant before. Who meant more to more people, soul deep?

thought you might like this Jazzy....
the comedian,Kenny Everett, who does the skit was a BBC radio dj back in the 1970s...
he was famously sacked from the BBC for defying a ban on Queen's "bohemian rhapsody",
the reason it was banned was because it was deemed too long for radio airplay when it was released...
Kenny was thrown off his radio show straight after playing the track, but the rest is history...

on with the skit...

Thanks so much, Bro C-H. Brilliant parody by a man who made a career of it yet was so well liked by show biz folks, they clamored to be on his shows. Here's more on this imprudent guy who was taken much too early in the early-90's AIDS epidemic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Everett << he's got a ton of stuff on YouTube--look him up for an evening of laughs.
