Hey from the road and Cornwall too! - Kgbow - 24-10-2013

Hey guys, My names Kirk Bowman. Loved music all my life... it IS my life. My father reviews music for a living and I'm very lucky to have constant access into his 30,000 strong album collection. That's excluding the vinyl! I make a living as a session musician in bluegrass and I've just started breaking into the blues scene. Whenever I'm home ill always find out what's hot in music at the moment. I also like to settle down and dive into his collection finding new artists as I go.

So what more of a reason do I need than to come on here and share/find more music!

Cheers.

Kirk.

I love most music! But I tend to lean towards Blues Rock, Jazz, Jazz Fusion, House. Anything that stands out a little. I never had a favourite group for longer than a few months. But, if I had to pick those that have lasted...... Supertramp, SRV, The Rippingtons, Mezzoforte and Robben Ford. It greatly changes from time to time.

As for his library, it's all on different hard drives. So it depends on what part of the alphabet I fancy. Currently convinced him to turn all his vinyl over to digital.

God that's some collection - must be worth a tidy sum. Welcome to the forum. Supertramp!!! Not many here mention ST, but I think they are fantastic. Their 'Paris' album remains my favourite. One of the best live albums around.

The vinyl is worth a small fortune. A lot that's out of print. I'll upload a few pics of it. How could anybody not mention Supertramp!!! :o I agree. Paris is an awesome album. The only live album with all the original members present. However, as for best "live" album. Have you heard "It Was The Best Of Times" ? It's hard to believe its live. Possibly the best live sound I've ever heard!
