Canadian Progressive Rock band - polumbric - 10-11-2008 Hello Folks, I'd like to tell you about a new band that I discovered recently. They are called Half Past Four and just released their new album 'Rabbit in the Vestibule'. Their music is very diverse and includes a compilation of styles such as Jazz, Fusion, Folk, Experimental and even, at times, Symphonic Metal. Especial attention is to the sound of the guitar which, in my opinion, is very unique, possibly due to the guitarist apparently building his own pedals. When I heard them live at their CD release party 2 weeks ago they really blew my mind. I didn't know that such easily complex music exists here in Canada. check them out at www.myspace.com/halfpast4. Canadian Progressive Rock band - Tiggi - 10-11-2008 Spammish, but might be of interest to some of you progheads. Canadian Progressive Rock band - Syn - 10-11-2008 i think is is okish spam.... if its not then sorry, but this is ok i think, it isnt plastered accross every forum in the largest font avalible Canadian Progressive Rock band - polumbric - 10-11-2008 Can you please explain how is it spam? I'm only telling you about a band I discovered. How else would a new band get known by people who may be interested, if it's not yet famous? Canadian Progressive Rock band - Palmer - 10-11-2008 I have actually heard of Half Past Four. Im not sure if they found their way to me either through my work with Canada Jams, or through The Tub, or Artist Launch Magazine (sorry, but sometimes it's hard to remember as I would get a few dozen requests a month). Anyway, being a champion for Canadian musicians, my ears perked up. I have never been much of a fan of prog-rock, but I will give them kudos for uniqueness. :coffee: I wish them all the success!! Oh, and Polumbric .. trust me dear .. such complex music does exist here in Canada, one just has to look for it sometimes is all. : :

You have not participated anywhere else on the forums. There is a good chance that once you get tired of this thread we'll never see you again. Please, prove me wrong. My only response to such an incorrect and polarized statement is as follows ..:angry::angry::angry: Canadian Progressive Rock band - Tiggi - 11-11-2008 polumbric Wrote:Can you please explain how is it spam? Anyone who promotes a band in their first post is fair game for a ban in my view. Look forward to your continued contributions... Is that explanation enough ?? Canadian Progressive Rock band - Tiggi - 11-11-2008 ...And the answer to your second question, is that a talented band will make its' impact by word of mouth, and by attracting attention through live performance. Any band that needs spam promotion on sites such as this, prolly isn't any good !! |
