Towards A Shimmering Horizon - Jerome - 06-10-2012 Brainvoyager Wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGLGFevfeP8&feature=youtu.be Listened to this a couple of times. Some parts I really like and some parts I am not mad about. You obviously put a lot of effort into this and you will probably reap the reward one day, if not already. I only have one thing to say about this (as a guide to possibly improving on your work). You have all the basics in place and the only thing I feel is lacking is a sense of melody in the main sections. You need something memorable and catchy to wrap the whole thing up. Other than that it's pretty good and you have a good pallette of sounds. It's also the best title you have come up with to date. The title suggests movement and that is always good when it comes to an artform that is concerned with timing. Listen to the Vangelis track 'Antarctica' - a deceptively simple tune but it grabs you and keeps changing and diversifying when in actual fact it is the same thing over and over but the instruments in the background are changing to add interest and support the same melodic line. You are not too far away from producing this sort of material. Towards A Shimmering Horizon - Brainvoyager - 26-11-2012 Thank you for your review. I always try to take reviews info consideration when I move on and start to make another track. |
