one of the best trumpet players i have hits from his decca years if u just listen to some hes done some things on the trumpet ive never heard before

Although I don't listen to him often, he is obviously one of the most important jazz musicians ever.

I always like unusual voices, so he wins there, and his trumpetting was peerless.

I've only got Basin Street Blues downloaded at the minute - used to listen to him a lot when I was a child as one of my uncles was a big fan.

I think he's marvellous.

- you made me listen to the Basin Street Blues CD again, I haven't listened to it in quite a while. It was great to listen to - so thanks!(although a rainy day in Belfast isn't its natural setting)
'On The Sunny Side of the Street' is (predictably) my favourite song

heh my dad is absoulutley in love with what a wonderfull world its wierd because he hates jazz besides louis armstrong and hes a true metalhead
