Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - mtthwibrahim - 26-10-2011 "Spiderland" by Slint would probably be number 1. To describe just how depressing that album is can't be done. Not far behind would be the Manic Street Preachers "The Holy Bible", Richey Edwards's suicide note essentially A lot of Nico's stuff is pretty dark too. I'm listening to "The Marble Index" right now and it certainly creates a bleak atmosphere Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - Music Head - 26-10-2011 Cohens Songs Of Love and Hate Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - SteveO - 26-10-2011 AGHAST (Norweigan group of two women) - their only album - Hexerei Im Zwielicht Der Finsternis !!!! (not to be confused with the Brazilian group Aghast) Pretty much anything from the Swedish Cold Meat Industry(CMI) record catalogue of several dark ambient groups !!!!! Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-10-2011 Neil Young's "tonights the night" and "time fades away" are as dark as dark can be.... both fueled by death from murder and drug overdose with Young's own tequilla and cocaine laced vocals. in fact "time fades away" is so dark and depressing that even after almost 40 yrs Young refuses to release it on cd as he cant face listening to the remastered version...and nothing gets re-released with out his ok both albums make Floyd's The Wall and Nick Cave Murder Ballads sets look like nursery rhymes! Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - Jerome - 27-10-2011 The Ghost of Tom Joad - essentially about urban decay following the post war dream. Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-10-2011 probably my least favourite Boss album...not sure why though, it just hasnt 'gelled' with me since its release. for EvilB: thanks for the "time fades away" info via PM! Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - mtthwibrahim - 28-10-2011 anything is darker than "the wall", it's a million rock star whining darker than "Murder Ballads"? Maybe. Darker than "From Her to Eternity" or "Your Funeral... My Trial"? no way CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Neil Young's "tonights the night" and "time fades away" are as dark as dark can be.... Darkest/Most Intense Albums You've Ever Heard - didgeridoo - 03-11-2011 Maldoror - She (Mike Patton & Merzbow collab) A longplay by Wolf Eyes, sadly I don't remember which one... Also, following the instructions in the title of Coil's Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. 1 & 2 could result in quite a dark audio-visual experience

The Wall is a dark album...you obviously dont understand Pink's psychosis, very dangerous and often leads to suicide in real life situations!
